AD18 operates under a freemium posting model as described below.
This Refund Policy forms part of the AD18 Terms of Service and applies to purchases made on ad18.ca ("AD18," "the Platform," "we," "us," or "our").
By purchasing paid ad placements, paid additional ads, Reposts where paid, upgrades, boosts, promotions, or related digital services through the Platform, you ("User," "Poster," or "you") agree to this Refund Policy.
All paid purchases made through the Platform are final unless a refund is expressly permitted under this Policy or required by applicable law.
AD18 sells digital advertising services. Once a paid ad placement, paid Repost, upgrade, boost, featured placement, premium visibility option, or other paid digital service is purchased, prepared, delivered, activated, or made available, it is generally non-refundable.
Refunds are not guaranteed and are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Nothing in this Policy limits any refund rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.
AD18 operates on a freemium model. Each account may have one active free base ad at a time, subject to eligibility, moderation, category rules, technical availability, and Platform policies.
A free base ad runs for thirty (30) days unless removed earlier for policy violations, user deletion, technical reasons, legal requirements, payment processor requirements, or Platform enforcement.
When a free base ad expires, the user may Repost it or delete it and create a new free base ad, provided the account remains eligible and does not already have an active free base ad.
Because the free base ad is provided at no charge, it has no cash refund value. If AD18 confirms a Platform fault affecting a free base ad, AD18 may, at its discretion, restore the ad, allow a Repost, extend visibility, or provide another non-cash remedy.
Paid services may include, where available:
Purchasing a paid ad placement or upgrade does not guarantee views, clicks, contacts, replies, sales, leads, transactions, search ranking, or business results.
Refunds, account credits, free ad restoration, Repost adjustments, or other remedies may be considered only in limited circumstances.
Where a paid refund, remedy, or adjustment is approved, AD18 may issue the remedy as account credit by default. Refunds to the original payment method may be provided only where required by law, required by a payment processor, or approved by AD18 at its discretion.
A refund, account credit, free ad restoration, Repost adjustment, or other remedy may be considered where an ad fails to go live, remain active, or receive the purchased or authorized service due to a verified technical fault caused by AD18 and not caused by the User.
A refund or account credit may be issued where the User is charged more than once for the same paid purchase.
A refund or account credit may be issued where the User pays more than the amount required for a paid purchase.
A refund or account credit may be considered where an unauthorized payment is confirmed after investigation.
A refund may be issued where required by applicable law.
Refunds are not available for:
No refunds are available where the User violates the Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, or any other Platform policy, except where required by law.
Card payments may be processed by CCBill or another approved card processor where available.
Where AD18 approves a refund to the original payment method, or where law or payment processor rules require it, approved card refunds are generally returned to the original payment method through the applicable payment processor.
Processing times may vary depending on the payment processor, card network, issuing bank, financial institution, and fraud or chargeback review process. AD18 does not control bank processing times.
Cryptocurrency payments may be processed by CoinPayments or another approved cryptocurrency payment provider where available.
Cryptocurrency transactions may be irreversible, volatile, delayed, underpaid, overpaid, or affected by blockchain network conditions.
Where AD18 approves a cryptocurrency refund, or where law or payment processor rules require it, the remedy may be issued, where technically feasible, through one of the following methods:
Crypto refunds are not guaranteed in Canadian-dollar equivalent value unless required by law. Refund amounts may be affected by exchange-rate changes, blockchain network fees, processor fees, underpayments, overpayments, or technical limitations. AD18 will not issue crypto refunds to unrelated third-party wallets or accounts.
AD18 may issue account credits, promotional credits, administrative credits, Repost adjustments, or free ad restoration at its discretion as the default remedy for approved adjustments, platform faults, goodwill, promotions, or administrative corrections.
Users do not purchase account credit balances as a standalone product at launch. Credits are issued by AD18 only where AD18 authorizes them.
Credits may be used only on the Platform and have no cash value unless otherwise required by law. Credits are not transferable, may not be resold, and may not be redeemed for cash unless expressly required by law.
Account credits and promotional credits may be subject to expiry dates, usage limits, category restrictions, or other conditions. Abuse of credits, promotions, refunds, free ads, Reposts, or payment systems may result in cancellation of credits, removal of ads, account restriction, or account termination.
Where applicable, refunds or account credits may include the corresponding GST, HST, QST, or other taxes paid on the refunded portion of the paid purchase.
Tax adjustments may be reflected on invoices, receipts, credit notes, or internal records where required.
To request a refund or billing review, Users must contact AD18 through the Platform support process or by contacting support@ad18.ca.
Refund requests should include:
Failure to provide sufficient information may delay or prevent review.
Refund requests are reviewed against Platform records, payment records, invoices, support records, moderation records, and applicable policies.
AD18 may request additional information before making a decision. Refunds require internal approval before processing. Submission of a refund request does not guarantee approval.
AD18 may approve, deny, partially approve, issue account credit, restore a free ad, allow a Repost, request more information, or escalate the request for further review.
Approved refunds are generally processed within fourteen (14) business days after approval.
Additional time may be required due to payment processor review, card network or bank processing, cryptocurrency network conditions, fraud checks, chargeback investigations, missing or incorrect information, or legal or compliance review.
Users should contact AD18 support before filing a chargeback or payment dispute.
Filing a chargeback or payment dispute may result in temporary account restriction while the dispute is reviewed.
Fraudulent, abusive, or bad-faith chargebacks may result in account suspension, permanent ban, cancellation of credits, removal of ads, referral to the payment processor, or other enforcement action.
AD18 may provide transaction records, invoices, account records, ad records, IP logs, support records, and moderation records to payment processors, banks, card networks, or authorities as part of a dispute, fraud, or chargeback investigation.
AD18 monitors refund activity, credit activity, payment activity, account activity, free ad activity, Repost activity, and chargeback activity for fraud or abuse.
Users may be required to cooperate in investigations involving unauthorized payments, fraud, overpayments, suspicious transactions, suspicious free ad use, or payment disputes.
AD18 may refuse refund requests suspected of abuse, manipulation, fraud, policy evasion, or bad faith, except where a refund is required by law.
This Policy is intended to comply with applicable Canadian consumer protection laws, including applicable Ontario and Quebec requirements.
Where applicable law provides mandatory refund rights that are broader than this Policy, the applicable law prevails.
Nothing in this Policy is intended to waive, reduce, or exclude rights that cannot legally be waived, reduced, or excluded.
AD18 may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, payment methods, payment processors, Platform operations, refund procedures, categories, services, freemium rules, or compliance requirements.
The "Last Updated" date indicates the current version. Continued use of the Platform after an updated Refund Policy is posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
