AD18 operates under a freemium posting model as described below.
This Appeals & Takedown Policy explains how individuals may request removal of content from ad18.ca ("AD18," "the Platform," "we," "us," or "our") and how appeals are handled.
This Policy applies to users, posters, visitors, and individuals depicted in or affected by content posted, reposted, expired, restricted, or otherwise stored in connection with the Platform.
This Policy supplements the AD18 Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Policy, ID Verification Policy, and other policies referenced on the Platform.
You may submit a takedown request if you believe content on AD18:
Takedown requests should be sent to AD18 Support at support@ad18.ca.
Please include as much of the following as possible:
If you are requesting removal because you are depicted in the content, AD18 may request reasonable proof of identity to confirm the request.
Do not send unnecessary sensitive documents unless requested. Where possible, sensitive information may be redacted before submission, provided we can still verify the request.
Requests involving minors, exploitation, trafficking, coercion, credible threats, imminent harm, non-consensual content, or serious safety concerns may be prioritized.
AD18 may remove or temporarily disable content immediately while the request is reviewed.
AD18 may preserve records, restrict accounts, suspend users, limit Repost eligibility, revoke free ad eligibility, or report serious safety concerns to law enforcement or other appropriate authorities where required or permitted by law.
AD18 aims to review takedown requests within five (5) business days. Urgent safety matters may be reviewed more quickly.
Complex requests, incomplete requests, identity disputes, ownership disputes, or legal issues may require additional time. AD18 may request additional information before making a final decision.
After review, AD18 may take one or more of the following actions:
Where appropriate, AD18 will communicate the outcome to the requester unless legal, privacy, safety, or operational restrictions prevent disclosure.
Where appropriate, AD18 may notify the poster that their content has been removed, disabled, restricted, or placed under review.
AD18 may limit or withhold details where necessary to protect privacy, safety, investigations, law enforcement cooperation, fraud prevention, or Platform integrity.
If you submitted a takedown request and disagree with the outcome, you may appeal by contacting support@ad18.ca.
Your appeal should include the original takedown request reference if available, a clear explanation of why you believe the decision was incorrect, any new or additional evidence, and any urgent safety concerns.
Where practical, appeals may be reviewed by a different administrator or reviewer.
If your content, ad, Repost, free ad eligibility, or account was removed, restricted, suspended, shadowbanned, or otherwise moderated, you may appeal through AD18 support.
Appeals should include the affected ad or account information, a clear explanation of why you believe the decision was incorrect, any supporting evidence, and confirmation that the content complies with AD18 policies and applicable law.
Appeals must be submitted within seven (7) days of the enforcement action unless AD18 allows additional time at its discretion. AD18 may approve, deny, partially approve, or request more information. Final discretion remains with AD18.
Where required by payment processor rules, applicable law, or Platform compliance requirements, AD18 may use a neutral third party to review disputes involving consent, identity, ownership, or takedown decisions.
Where AD18 determines that neutral third-party review is required, AD18 will cover the reasonable cost of that review unless otherwise required by law or agreed in writing.
Users must not submit false, malicious, fraudulent, abusive, or bad-faith takedown requests or appeals.
Abuse of the takedown or appeals process may result in denial of the request, account restriction, suspension or permanent ban, preservation of records, loss of free ad or Repost eligibility, or referral to legal authorities where appropriate.
AD18 may preserve content, account records, payment records, free ad allowance records, Repost records, support records, moderation records, audit logs, or related evidence where necessary for legal compliance, safety investigations, fraud prevention, payment disputes, law enforcement requests, moderation history, Platform enforcement, or compliance with processor requirements.
Removal of public content does not always mean all internal records are immediately deleted.
AD18 may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, Platform operations, payment processor requirements, moderation practices, safety standards, freemium rules, or compliance requirements.
The "Last Updated" date indicates the current version. Continued use of the Platform after an updated Policy is posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
